From 1966 to 1984, he served as the director of the general practice residency program at Providence Hospital and held the position of chairman of the Department of Dentistry. He was also an esteemed instructor in the general practice residency program at Prince George’s General Hospital. In 1991, after a long and fulfilling career, he retired from dentistry.

Dr. Blatt’s leadership extended beyond his dental practice. He served as the president of the American Society of Dentistry for Children’s D.C. metropolitan chapter, showcasing his commitment to pediatric dentistry. Additionally, he held the prestigious role of president of the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners, following a five-year term on the board.
