Mark Bistoyong Obituary- With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Mark Bistoyong, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, who left us on July 2, 2023, at the tender age of 16. Mark’s departure has left a void in the lives of all who knew him, as he was a bright young soul with endless potential. As we come together to mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the joy he brought to those around him.
Mark was born to Rino Bistoyong and Merl Bistoyong, who loved him deeply and cherished every moment they had with him. He was a caring and protective brother to his siblings Luke, Adam, and Cain Bistoyong. Mark’s grandparents, Ulysses, Josie Bistoyong, Laval, and Linda Lee, were pillars of love and support in his life. He also shared special bonds with his aunts and uncles, Eunice, Norm Legendre, and Shirley-Anne Lee.
Mark Bistoyong Obituary – During his short time with us, Mark touched the hearts of many with his infectious smile, warm personality, and unwavering kindness. He had a compassionate nature and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Mark’s presence lit up any room he entered, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Friends, family, and community members are invited to pay their respects during the visitation hours at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home, located at 947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2. The visitation will take place on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Another opportunity for visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9th, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A funeral mass honoring Mark’s life will be held on Monday, July 10th, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, located at 20 Idlewood Ave, Hamilton, ON L8T1V9. Following the mass, a brief entombment ceremony will be conducted from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, situated at 254 Garner Rd W, Ancaster, ON L9G3K9.
In remembrance of Mark and the impact he made during his time with us, a GoFundMe page has been established. Donations made to this page will contribute to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at McMaster Children’s Hospital, where Mark’s compassionate spirit and generosity can continue to benefit others. Additionally, the Mark Bistoyong Bursary will be established in his memory, providing educational opportunities to deserving individuals, ensuring that Mark’s legacy lives on.
