The Independence, KY community mourns the loss of a beloved young man who passed away at the age of 22. Cody, as he was affectionately known, worked as a line cook for LaRosa’s Pizza and was known for his fun-loving and adventurous spirit. He had a deep love for fishing and outdoor activities, and his family was at the center of his world. Cody will be forever cherished by his mother, Trina Jo Stephens, his father Ernest Glen Stephens, Jr., and his two daughters. He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, grandparents, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton – Stanley Funeral Homes – Verona. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Chaplain Chuck Myser, with burial at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
The community comes together to support Cody’s family during this difficult time, sharing in their grief and celebrating the life of a young man who brought joy to those around him. Cody’s love for life and his unwavering devotion to his family will forever be remembered. May his spirit live on, and may his family find solace in the memories they shared with him.
