At Notre Dame, she earned the esteemed title of valedictorian, the first of many academic achievements she would garner throughout her life. Becky’s pursuit of knowledge led her to Quincy University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in biological science with a minor in chemistry. Graduating with high honors, she commenced her professional career as a pharmaceutical sales representative at Sanofi Aventis, showcasing her exceptional aptitude.
A Calling in Nursing
Despite her success in the pharmaceutical industry, Becky felt a calling to work directly in the medical profession, providing hands-on care to those in need. Following her heart, she transitioned to nursing, where she found her true vocation. She enrolled at Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, receiving both the Faculty Outstanding Senior Award and the Capstone Honors Diploma. Becky’s nursing journey took her to various healthcare institutions, including Quincy Medical Group and Blessing Hospital, where she worked as a surgical assistant and later in the emergency room. Her passion for healthcare extended beyond Quincy, as she served as a travel nurse during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, providing care at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri, and Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.

Funeral Arrangements
A Mass of Christian Burial in honor of Rebecca Bliefnick will be held at the Church of St. Peter on the morning of Friday, March 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation to pay respects and offer condolences will be held at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
